StandBy is young guitar driven alternative rock band from Simi Valley/Thousand Oaks formed in 2018 by lifelong friends Eddie Dolak and Tre Poutre, who were both 12 at the time. Two members, Jaxon Armerding (rhythm guitar) and Michael Turton (drums) joined the band recently to complete their lineup, after drummer Trevor Quinn stepped away to go to college. Their sound has been described as a mash up of Silverchair, Stone Temple Pilots, and the Vines, with a 90's rock sound that is new yet still familiar. Their debut album, All For Nothing, released on Feb 29th of this year, was made with producers of amazing bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Porno For Pyros, Five For Fighting, One Republic, amongst others. The band has played shows at the Whisky, Viper Room, Canyon Club, and had their album release show at the famous Rock & Roll Pizza in Simi Valley where legends like Dave Grohl, Chad Smith, and Taylor Hawkins have taken the stage.
